What we work on

Road infrastructure

From the municipal road to the interchange, a road is a stack of layers, each with its own function and cost.

Road infrastructure

What this sector covers

Roads and pavements, sewerage and utility networks, roundabouts and junctions, interchanges, car parks, manoeuvring areas and accesses. We handle geometry, pavement structure layers, drainage, signage and coordination with utility operators.

Our services

  • Survey of the existing situation and diagnosis of the structure in place
  • Geometric design: alignment, longitudinal and cross profiles, camber, turning circles for heavy vehicles
  • Layer design according to traffic loading and soil bearing capacity
  • Design of sewerage and surface run-off management
  • Coordination with utility operators and network managers
  • Working drawings, detailed bill of quantities and technical clauses
  • Works phasing and maintaining access for residents

Points of attention

The real pitfalls of the trade — the ones that cost money when nobody watches for them.

Excavated soil

In Wallonia, soil traceability is regulated and contaminated ground can blow a budget apart after the contract is awarded. The diagnosis is done beforehand, not during the works.

Utility networks

An unrecorded network means a work stoppage and a claim. Consulting network operators and prior surveying are not a formality.

Phasing

A shopping street closed for too long means angry shopkeepers and complaints. Phasing is designed at project stage, not on site.

The formation level

Actual bearing capacity is verified when the subgrade is signed off. Skip this stage and you accept settlement within three years.

Applicable framework

Regional standard specifications — CCT Qualiroutes in the Walloon Region, CCT 2015 in the Brussels-Capital Region, Standaardbestek 250 in the Flemish Region. Public procurement regulations for contracting authorities. Prior survey of underground utilities.
